Like all other things, coffee in this country has been faced by numerous problems for decades due to political and civil war. You might be aware that this country has been faced by constant wars for many years. Civil wars have resulted in a lack of good infrastructure and social inequalities. The flavor of Congo coffee beans is similar to that of Burundi. Also, you can mistake this type of coffee with Rwandan coffee. The reason behind this is that Congo coffee and Burundi coffee share the same climatic conditions for growth.

Coffee production in Congo

Coffee farms in Congo are mostly located in the eastern region of the country. These farms have been able to sustain the growing industry for quite a long time. Although Congo coffee is not very popular in the global market, the beans are of the same quality with that of other East African countries.
