Origin of Brazilian coffee
Many years after Ethiopia was discovered in 1727, The French Guiana sent a Brazilian lieutenant to settle a border dispute while at the same time finding coffee seedlings. As he was tackling his duties, he seduced the Guiana governor’s wife. It is said that the wife of the Guiana governor gave him a bouquet of flowers that hid the coffee seedlings. No one knew that the occurrence could be the origin of this great empire.
Since this happened, there have emerged more than 10,000 square miles of coffee plantations in Brazil. Most of these plantations are located where there are ideal conditions for coffee production.
